This is what Lily looks like each time I drop her off at playschool. Clutching her bunny bear and water cup, she runs to the corner and sobs. Not a very fun scene to watch...
ANYWAY...fun stuff!
Today I went to the Fort Worth Zoo with Zane and Lily to go and meet up with our long time friends Dom and Michelle, with their lovely daughter Emma. The last time all of us were together (meaning kids and all) all the babies were still in utero and we were at Sea World as miserable pregnant women. Now that they are all out in the world, it's about time we all got together.
Walking into the zoo this was the first thing we saw. That's right. Two monkeys going at it like ...monkeys. On the roof of their house for everyone to look up and see. Good morning!
The rest of these pictures were taken in the herpetarium part of the zoo. We saw almost all of the zoo but I didn't think to bust out my camera again until we were at this...the last part of our trip.
Lily decided to ride the fake Croc like a horse. She even called it a horse.
Ok...funny side note story: Zane was over by the petting zoo and while holding him up to look at the chickens, he spotted the little display sign that told all about chickens. What does he do? He sticks out his pointer finger and starts poking the sign, then again more aggressively. Does that show you how this generation of kids expects EVERYTHING to be interactive?!? He just kept jabbing the plastic sign expecting it to turn on or at least make some noise.
He was in love with this little tube that jetted into the water. In fact he pushed three kids out of the way who tried to get in it while he was observing.

Is this the Forest Park Zoo? I loved going to Forest Park as a child. Guess it was the only zoo I ever saw, being from a small town. Luckily relatives lived in Ft. Worth, so We did get to civilization every once in awhile. Looks as if fun was had by all. Emma's a cutie, too. Of course the twins are the most!!
RJ refused to go into this part of the zoo. :(
