The Peapods are here!

I've wanted a peapod before I even knew there were peas in my pod. Probably because I love the idea of camping, just not the idea of being outside. Peapods are indoor/outdoor tents for kids. A replacement for Pack and Plays in which the kids barely fit in them anymore. Darn those height genes.

To gear up for the twins upcoming adventure in Houston (while mom and daddy disappear off to PARIS!), I'm trying to get them used to these new contraptions so that maybe, just maybe, they will sleep and nap in them while we're away. Crossing fingers and toes.

Lily loves hers. She took to it right away, but that is probably because she is a nester like mommy. I have to build a fort of pillows and blankets around me at night to feel like I'm enclosed in my own personal cocoon.

Zane wanted to just bug Lily in hers. He didn't stay in his that much but kept running full force into Lily's to tickle her and steal her stuffed animals.

We didn't attempt to sleep in them today. Just tried to give them the whole idea that this is a place to go "nigh-night". I put their crib animals, their blankets and their pacifiers in them to give the hint.

Tomorrow we may attempt naps in them, depending on their attitudes mid morning. And tomorrow night we'll try a camp out. We'll have the weekend to recover if all systems fail.

Hope these work. They're adorable! Have a wonderful time in Paris. Hope folks are nice to you ... don't think the French like us very well. Anyhow, bon voyage!

So far so good. Both kids are napping (I'm assuming) in them in their rooms right now. Lily's is open to the room (but she crawled in and told me to "go away" while she snuggled down to sleep) and Zane's has the screens (not the solid covers) zipped up. So far, all quiet.
