No nap Zoo day

Wow, I feel loved. Thank you all who have written or called wondering what in the world is going on with me. I haven't updated the blog in over a week! That's a long time in my world.

Well, there are a variety of reasons. Me being sick (off the lettuce) took a really hard toll on me. It wiped me out. I haven't been that ill in a long time. I still feel weak from the whole ordeal.

Also, Z&L are about to turn 2 (well in a month anyway). I need to plan stuff.

In addition...ya, that silly life stuff just gets in the way. My house was a wreck from not doing anything for two weeks while I begged the bacterium to leave my body. Laundry piled up, floors got sticky, you know.

Today was a first in our household.

There have been days when Lily refuses to take a nap. There have been days when Zane refuses to take a nap. Never have both refused to take a nap on the same day. Something was in the air. So, to make the best of it, I grabbed the pair and we went to the zoo.

The zoo is always packed in the mornings, but because they get up from their naps so late, it's our only time to go. BUT, today we got to go in the afternoon. IT WAS GREAT! As we were coming in around 2:30, everyone else was leaving. Perfect!

Lily: 'ane, look, those guys pick bugs off each other and eat them. That's how they take a bath.

Zane:...that's just gross man.

Lily: OOOO look at that monkey!

Zane: Ya, it's butt looks like Lily's, hahahaha

Lily: MAMA, DADA.... BROTHER? BROTHER? BROTHER!?! BROTHER? BROTHER?! BROTHER!!!!!???!!!!!

(* Lily believes that all groups come in families of four. Just like ours. If there is not a mama, a daddy, a brother and a Lily she does not acccept and will question the whereabouts of the missing member...ad nauseum .)

Lily: 'ane! that's a Komodo dragon. It has the deadliest bite in the world, but it's not poisonous, it just has tons of bacteria in it's mouth and that's what will kill you...ewww.

Lily: And that's a fish. They're not as poisonous or cool.

Lily: 'ane! You better listen to mama!

...and on that note. I'm tired. I will try to keep the blog more updated this week. Thank you for sticking with me this past week!!
