The past couple of days

My mom is in town while Jason is out of town this week so we've been pretty busy. It's so nice having an extra pair of hands around because we are getting to do so much more. A two on two approach makes the day way less stressful and a lot more fun. Below are pictures that my mom took from our trip to the park and our all day trip the zoo.

We had a nice time at the park, I hadn't been to this park in Coconut Grove before so we tried it out. Lily saw the slide and then that was that....

And that was the last picture taken because the rest of the time was spent helping Z&L not kill themselves on the jungle gym. They did pretty well though, they managed to slide the slide by themselves and not die.

RRRRRRR...Talk like a pirate day....

We first got to the zoo and caught a group of turtles in a very awkward position. I really was hoping to spare my children's eyes from biology lessons for as long as possible. Oh well.

Mom! What are those turtles doing!! ....well Lily um, that one has a hurt foot and that one is helping by pushing her along.

I couldn't get them to stop pounding on the glass doors to the exhibit. I felt so bad too because the lady had just cleaned them and was just watching in horror as they slimed their hands all over them.

Lily excitedly pointed out the fish and turtles

Zane and the curly haired bird talked about how to manage their dos.

She was a little nervous at first because there was a rambunctious 3 year old who tried to hug her, respect my girl's personal space man.

But she got over it and cooled down

Fish lips for the fishys. Every time we saw a fish, she did her impression.

Come 'ere big bird!

Zane loves his mommy

...and so does Lily

My mom took lots of pictures of the animals, but the internet is running slow tonight and I figured you guys would rather see the babies than the elephants. Maybe some other time.

Thanks, Margaret. We got to see precious Mommy as well as the precious children. Looks as if a good time was had by all (including the turtles).
