Zane:
Weight - 21 lbs 2 oz (55%)
Height - 31 inches (97%)
Lily:
Weight - 19 lbs 0 oz (47%)
Height - 29.5 inches (94%)
Talk about tall babies. In fact the nurse measured Zane twice because she didn't believe it. I thought he would be a lot heavier than he was. I guess he's just "so big" because of his length. But 21 lbs is nothing to sneeze at either...just ask my back. Lily has come a long way from being in the 5% at birth all the way to where she is now. She is definitely the catch-up champion.
I was worried because Zane's soft spot is gone, but the doctor felt around a little more and said that it's still there...just really small. The plates are not fused yet so that's good. The last thing he needed was head surgery to open up his skull!
The office wanted to do a urinalysis on the babies. At first I said absolutely not! I was not going to let them catheterize my kids! Then she told me it was just a clean catch using a bag they put over their nether-regions. I asked again why it was necessary and she said...do you have insurance? I said yes...then she said, well then don't worry about all this, they will pay for it! AND THAT is what is wrong with medical offices in America...who cares! The insurance company will pay for it! Insurance rates are too high, doctors are too rich and it's all going down the toilet.

Wow, they are big. Annabeth is weighing in at 19 lbs 7 oz when fully clothed right now. They have done very well.
Obviously, they are doing well. I would not have thought Lily would be as near to Zane in weight as she is. Just a difference in body types as well as female/male differences, I guess. I agree about running up medical charges with tests, etc. It does need to change. However, when the tests are necessary, it's great to have the insurance. Is Nana still there?
Nope Nana had to leave on Saturday, she was very sad to go.
H-I'm still shocked at how big they keep getting...my guess is that they will level off somewhere...mom & dad are not the tallest of people ya know...
WOW!! I know Elijah is small but Zane makes him look even smaller!! Eli is 31 1/2 inches and almost 17 months old. I never would have thought your little ones would be so big so early! Glad to hear they are doing great though.
