We are like burnt bumps on a log. This is about the only fun we get out during the day and do...and it's in our backyard where we can run back inside and cool off.
Even the water that comes out of the hose is warm. ewwww.
Zane and Lily love to play the goodnight game. They take turns putting each other to bed, complete with tucking in and singing each other a song. They do not like mommy to participate in this game and as you will hear, I am instructed to remain on the couch.
Blogger etiquette says to never apologize for going too long between posts, because hey, you're working for free, but rather dive right in as if no time has passed. So, here we go!
I'm so sick of Zucchini. My two plants put out more zucchini than any human being should have to consume. Too bad I'm the only one in the family who eats it. Now if only they made a chicken fried steak plant.
I accidentally washed an overnight Huggies pull-up with the wash. This was not a fun thing to clean up.
At the beginning of summer the kids got back to back to back illnesses. Nurse mommy was tired.
Good ol' Hand, Foot & Mouth made a reappearance just like this time last year.
And a new virus right after Hand, Foot & Mouth that caused this lovely rash.
And Mr. Zane to be itchy and miserable.
"I'm so tired of being sick!"
Zane's favorite toy is still his choo-choos.
Mom's favorite toy is still keeping track of the huge lizard population in our backyard.
In an effort to cool down from the record 100+ temperatures, I got a 20 dollar pool at Target. It has only been used to make mud soup and practice new golf hazards. They don't seem to like the whole "swimming idea".
Lily is too smart for her own britches and is quite challenging on every aspect of daily life. Why and how come? Seem to be the predominant words in her vocabulary.
We drove out to Rockwall to go play with Dr. Anne, Miss Claire & Baby Sarah. Not pictured is Lily because princesses do not run through sprinklers.
My babies turned three years old on Father's Day and we opened presents from mom and dad and those sent in by family and friends.
Pop & Neenee sent some wonderful books and toys
Lily opened a special present from Gigi and was very confused when it was whisked away and placed on the "only when mommy is playing with you!" shelf. It was a beautiful gift and I know she will treasure it forever.
We ate some cake
They vegged out with their new portable DVD players from Nana and Pawpaw
Lily is in love with her new kitchen set.
And Zane can't get enough of zooming his new cars around his ramp.
This is sort of what our days look like. Just hangin' around...making a mess.
From our birthday present opening celebration
**My favorite part is at 1:55 where Zane wishes Lily and mama a happy birthday**
Zane shows us how he gets to watch his choo-choos and how he watches his music videos.
I finally took a video showing how computer literate Mr. Zane is.
He knows how to get where he wants to go. The background on my computer? He selected it himself. The Youtube playlist? He created it himself and when he runs across a video he likes, he will add it to his favorites list. Someone get him a coding book asap.
