Yesterday the first really bad pregnancy symptom hit me. I was at work, and could feel my leg tingling...then it started to cramp. I tried to get up and walk it off but it just seemed to get worse and worse. The pain also started to radiate up my back and I feared it was my kidney saying hello. By the time I got home it hurt to walk and no matter how I sat/laid the pain would not go away. Jason pulled out the book and apparently...this is Sciatica. Sciatica is caused by pressure on your sciatic nerve. The pressure I have is either from Baby A's head being right on top of it, or my uterus pushing against it. There's really nothing you can do except get a support belt and do exercises. Today at work, I'm pacing around the office holding my hip. I feel like I look like a stereotypical pregnant lady, shuffling grabing my back with a slight pained look on my face. I miss my advil.Friday, March 7, 2008
